Janet McCarter is an artist here in Tn.. She's truly one of the sweetest people Ever...I met Janet through my best Friend Niki and her Mom Wanda.... Janet and her Daughter Kim have been artists for years. However are new to the blog world...They have an art sale each fall. The first year I went...Niki said we will get there about 9am and the doors open at 10am. I thought.." okay an hour early"...Well, we were not 1st in line... This is a show they put on in their homes.....Anyway, I have added some of my pieces from them....I will try to add some of Niki's as she has been collecting their art for many years longer than me...Please check out Janet's blog at http://bellsandbones.blogspot.com/. She would love to hear from you...

Horrible Bloggers.....

Well I bet you that thought we had already jumped the blogging ship....I have found that after my daughter was born.....my memory some how was left at the hospital. I have been trying my hand at some small paper mache Halloween pieces....I thought"I work with concrete, how hard can it be".....Let's just say I will leave the paper mache to my artist friends...not only did it take forever ( I need instant gratification) to dry, but then I had to paint it...It does not instantly appear finished after drying...Oh my goodness, my artist friends must have the patients of a saint...Anyway....I hope to blog more often....Be back soon

LIFE......

Well, our attempt at blogging took a left turn....as life goes we both have been very busy with LIFE.....Niki has learned she is pregnant with her 4th beautiful baby, so I may be it for awhile...(Lord, help us all....me in charge of the blogging). It is now spring and I am so ready to make some new troughs for my flower garden. In addition to planting and gardening....we have had an itch for antiquing also....It just seems over winter we could hibernate....With all that being said.....A new tid bit about us we both love to collect Original Halloween and Christmas art. We are BIG fans of Janet McCarter of http://www.bellsandbones.blogspot.com/, Laurie Harden of http://www.monkey-catsstudio.blogspot.com/, Johanna Parker of http://www.johannaparker.blogspot.com/, Janell Berryman of http://www.pumpkinseeds.blogspot.com/ and of coarse http://www.spookytimejingles.blogspot.com/. Please check them out, we promise you will not be disappointed. I have started to dabble in paper mache and have attached a picture of my 1st attempt. Let me know what you think. Well, I have rambled enough..I hope to blog more often.....I have also added a picture of my princess...she turned eight a few weeks ago. Happy Birthday my girl......

Hello....We are now proud bloggers.

We are two GREAT friends and a mom....(We could not do anything without Niki's mom Wanda...who is precious) who are setting out on an adventure to create and share what we love to do and collect with everyone. We create (after much help from Wanda) garden troughs...It started out as me (Amy) just wanting some in my yard after seeing Niki, Wanda and our friend Janet's gardens...They are beautiful....WEEEELLLLLL......Niki says "OH we can make those"...and Yes we did.....We have been so blessed to have people wanting them for Weddings, Wedding Showers and their gardens....So I have yet to put one in my yard....However we have had the best time creating something someone loves so much....They last for years....and get even more beautiful over time. We make our with stronger materials so that they can last through the winters without ever being brought in. We have a local nursery carrying our garden troughs...Holden's Nursery....But our love is to put on Garden Shows....We host two or three a year. Please let us know what you think.....

Blessings,
Amy and Niki
